Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's quick trip down the aisle this past February was sparked by their deep connection.
"We connect on a lot of levels, but the first things that really got me was she's an aficionado of the blues,"
Depp told E! News about his 29-year-old spouse. "I would play a song, some old obscure blues song and she knew what it was."
"She's very, very literate. She's a voracious reader, as I've always
been so we connected on that as well. And she's kind of brilliant," the
52-year-old actor said.
"I'm a lucky man," Depp said with a smile.
Heard's latest film, "The Danish Girl," is a period drama set in 1920s
Germany. At the premiere, Depp told E! that Heard fit perfectly in the
film.
"It looks like where she belongs," the "Black Mass" actor said about his
wife. "I always felt like I was supposed to be in a different time and I
kind of felt that way about her the first time I saw her."
