Stefano Boeri of Milan, Italy, told ABC News that the 384-foot tower will be located in Laussane, Switzerland.
"We have more than 100 different species of plants, trees, shrubs and
more than 20 species of the birds nesting in the plants," Boeri said.
The project, called "Tower of Cedar Trees," is 36 stories high and will
hold three to five compartments per floor for private residents as well
as offices, a gym and a panoramic restaurant.
The tower's evergreens and plants will protect the apartments from fine dusts, winds, and noise pollution, according to Boeri.
This will be the second building created by Boeri, the first being in Milan, which stood at 367 feet and housed 128 apartments.
Boeri said he is aiming for his "Tower of Cedar Trees" to be completed by the end of 2018.
