HORRIFIED motorists spotted a toddler driving a motorised toy car on a busy motorway.
The
three-year-old had sped away from his family home and managed to join
fast moving traffic on the six-lane road in Crystal River, Florida.
As cars hurtled past him, onlookers rushed to stop the little boy’s
adventure and when police arrived several cars had formed a diversion to
protect him.
Armed with only a t-shirt and a nappy, he was given a blanket to keep him warm by a good Samaritan.
The boy racer had cut through neighbours back gardens to reach the road.
His
bewildered father told police that he had left the boy in the living
room to go and use the loo but when he came back he noticed the door was
ajar.
He got on his bicycle to go and search for him and believes his son used a little chair to reach the locks on the front door.
Police
ensured both returned home safely but their names are being withheld as
local authorities are now investigating the incident
