Mandarin Oriental, New York City |
A report from Luxury-Hotels.com has named the most expensive city hotels in the nation. And numbers 1 through 7 are all in New York.
Prices for a double (that’s code for standard in hotel speak) were close
to $1,000 per night in October, according to the report. The site
analyzed prices for October stays at luxury hotels in the U.S. in cities
with a population of 500,000 or more. They then found the cheapest
available rate for a double room, excluding one-night stays and Sundays
and Mondays. (Note: one-night stays tend to be more expensive than
multi-night stays and Sundays and Mondays tend to be far cheaper than
other nights of the week).
