Asian Powers (Japan, China and South Korea) Meet To Mend Ties

The leaders of Japan, China and South Korea are due to meet for the first time in three years amid territorial disputes and historical disagreements.
The talks in the South Korean capital Seoul are an attempt to ease ill-feeling between the countries.
China and South Korea feel Japan has not done enough to atone for the brutality of its troops in World War Two.

The tripartite talks were held regularly until 2012.
The BBC's Stephen Evans, in Seoul, says they have resumed because the three neighbours know they have to deal with each other, particularly on economic issues.
He ads that South Korea and Japan are torn between their allegiance to the US and their need to get on economically with Beijing.
Chinese premier Li Keqiang met South Korea's President Park Geun-hye on Saturday and the two agreed to try to increase trade, particularly through more Korean exports of food to China and co-operation on research into robotics.
The two leaders will be joined by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan on Sunday. There will be close attention to whether the three come up with a strong statement on North Korea's nuclear ambitions.
Observers will also try to detect where Seoul and Tokyo stand in the uneasy relationship between Beijing and Washington.
