Sexting Probe In Colorado High School Involves 100's Of Pictures

Authorities are investigating the extent of a sexting scandal at a southern Colorado high school that led to the forfeiture of the football team's final game and could possibly lead to criminal charges.
Officials in Canon City say an unspecified "number of students" — both boys and girls — exchanged nude photos of themselves.

Hundreds of photos have been found so far. The school district says enough football players were involved that it couldn't let the team represent the community in this week's game.
The district is warning parents that students apparently used apps to hide the photos on their phones.
The students involved could possibly face felony charges for possessing what is technically child pornography, but the district attorney has suggested he wouldn't necessarily pursue that option unless the circumstances warrant.
