Officials in Canon City say an unspecified "number of students" — both
boys and girls — exchanged nude photos of themselves.
Hundreds of photos
have been found so far. The school district says enough football
players were involved that it couldn't let the team represent the
community in this week's game.
The district is warning parents that students apparently used apps to hide the photos on their phones.
The students involved could possibly face felony charges for possessing
what is technically child pornography, but the district attorney has
suggested he wouldn't necessarily pursue that option unless the
circumstances warrant.
