A WOMAN turned her tears of sadness at her fiancé’s funeral into ones of joy and happiness after the pair got 'married'.
Nan
Thippharat decided to hold the strange marriage ceremony and later
posted pictures of her and her dead lover on her Facebook page.
The photos of the living bride and the dead groom, named Fiat, sent the internet into a frenzy.
She wrote on social media: "I dreamed of our wedding. I saw us holding
hands. Rest in peace. I love you, Fiat. Please know that our dream has
come true."
Fiat's death came as a shock to his loved ones as he had shown no signs of illness before succumbing to a sudden heart attack.
The marriage ceremony, which took place in the district of Phanom
Sarakham in central Thailand’s Chachoengsao Province, although touching,
wasn’t recognised under law.
Nan said: "It was my way of paying tribute to him in this life
because I know one day we will be together for eternity in the next one.
"I loved him with all my heart and I couldn't bear it when he
was taken from me. He looked splendid on his wedding day - I know he
would have liked it."
