Cleaner Killed And Four Injured After 'ISIS' Rocket Hits Turkish School

A FEMALE cleaner has been killed at least four injured after a rocket hit a school in Turkey.

One seriously wounded student, a girl in the seventh grade, was taken to surgery, the provincial governor's office said.

The victims were hit after the missile, thought to have come from Syria, struck a school in the south-eastern province of Kilis.

Turkey's military radar claimed the blast was fired from inside an ISIS outpost.

There are four schools in the area, which is just six miles from Syria.

Images shown on TV showed the wounded being taken to hospital by albulance, as windows on the ground floor of the school were smashed by the impact of the blast.

Mayor of Kilis, Hasan Kara, said: "It seems the shelling came from the south. The people should not allow provocations. Kilis residents should stay calm."

Two further rockets landed in an empty field next to the school.

All schools in the town were evacuated and Turkey have said they retaliated "in kind" against ISIS after today's attack.
