A PAEDOPHILE who filmed himself abusing young girls in the
Philippines and possessed more than 80,000 indecent visuals has been
jailed.
Trevor Monk, 47, paid nearly £15,000 to watch child sex abuse on his webcam and was also caught 1,750 videos.
Children varied in ages but an image of a three-year old was also discovered.
Monk
pleaded guilty to 18 charges including: assault of a child under 13,
inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, possessing and making
indecent images of children.
A self-made video of him sexually assaulting a child when he travelled to South East Asia led to his re-arrest in November.
The
National Crime Association (NCA) caught Monk during an investigation
into British citizens who pay to live-stream child sex abuse in the
Philippines.
After streaming the exploitation he then travelled to the continent to abuse the youngsters himself.
The
BBC reported that the internet had facilitated an increase in his
offences, as he begun watching the abuse online before conducting the
crimes in person.
However the UK, US, Australia and the
Philippines have teamed up to triple efforts in catching perpetrators,
after there was an increase in British men ordering online abuse.
