Tragedy struck today when a 3-Storey building collapsed at Swamps
Street, up Odunfa street , Island, Lagos state, trapping occupants in
the process. Although a rescue operation by an Inter-agency operation on
emergency is ongoing, no deaths have been reported so far.

Mr. Michael Akindele and the Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaq
Fadipe who were at the scene confirmed the incidence.
“People were reported trapped and search and rescue operations are ongoing,” said Fadipe.
So sad. But, Why do Nigerians keep building substandard houses?
