A Worcester boy was hospitalized when he was hit by a car after being let off the school bus by himself.
The bus driver dropped the boy off at the Hamilton Street bus stop without a guardian present.
He stepped into the street and was hit by a car.
The force of the impact tossed the boy more than 20 feet.
He suffered a broken leg and head trauma, but he is expected to fully recover.
Police told the Worcester Telegram that no citation has been issued and the investigation is continuing.
