Three men were arrested for having a meth lab in their hotel room.
Police
executed a search warrant Friday after employees of Sonesta ES Suites
on Old Concord Road in Burlington told them they believed a guest was
making methamphetamine in his room.
Hotel employees said Dustin
Beliveau, 32, of Burlington, was behaving strangely and had a foul odor
coming from his room. They also noticed Beliveau wearing a gas mask and
an ankle bracelet throughout the day.
Police found a large
quantity of methamphetamine inside the hotel room and noticed plastic
bags were covering the smoke detectors.
The hotel’s guestrooms were evacuated and firefighters responded to the scene as a precaution.
Beliveau,
a career drug offender with five open cases for drug trafficking, was
arrested, along with Eric Sowmick, 24, of Manchester, and Tony Pickard,
52, of Manchester.
All three face charges of possession of a class B substance.
They will be arraigned Monday in Woburn District Court.
