Poland Elections: Conservatives Win More Seats

Poland's conservative Law and Justice party has convincingly won Sunday's elections, an exit poll suggests.
It is reported to have enough seats in parliament to govern alone without forming a coalition. Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz has conceded defeat.

The polls indicate that the Law and Justice party picked up 242 out of 460 seats in the lower house, ousting the governing Civic Platform party.
Law and Justice has strong support in Poland's rural areas.
If the numbers suggested by the exit poll are confirmed, it will be the first time since democracy was restored in Poland in 1989 that a single party has won enough seats to govern alone, the BBC's Adam Easton in Warsaw says.
