For the 15th and final season of American Idol, past and present judges will be together again to bid adieu, according to Ryan Seacrest.
"I've spoken to all of them recently and we as a team have
talked to them about coming back to do something for the final season,"
Seacrest, 40, told Access Hollywood on Thursday.
"They are going to do it, it's just a matter of figuring what to do with them."
Here's hoping for a Mariah Carey-Nicki Minaj reunion after their fiery feud on season 12. Or maybe even an Ellen DeGeneres cameo after the talk show host called her season 9 stint a mistake.
In May, it was announced that Fox cancelled American Idol after failing to stay at the top of ratings for several years. The 15th season will bow with current judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban.
Seacrest has been Idol's staple since the singing
competition premiered in 2002 with original judges Simon Cowell, Paula
Abdul and Randy Jackson – all of whom were together for eight seasons.
And over the course of the show's 13-year run there have been several casting replacements. Remember Steven Tyler and Kara DioGuardi?
Idol returns to Fox on Jan. 6
