On Friday night, Reese Witherspoon
hit the red carpet at the American Cinematheque tribute with her two
oldest children, Ava and Deacon, and the trio made quite the
impression.
For the occassion, Witherspoon looked beyond elegant in a black off-the-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana
gown, which she teamed with shiny, sleek locks. Sixteen-year-old
daughter Ava looked like quite the young lady herself, dressed in an
emerald green dress with an assymetrical hem, which she paired with
silver sandals (and her bright pink hair). For his part, Deacon opted
for a classic black tuxedo, giving us major Ryan Phillippe vibes.
At the event, Witherspoon was honored for her almost 25-year career by her peers. Former co-stars including Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Garner took the stage to speak of her accomplishments, while last year's honoree Matthew McConnaughey presented her with her award.
And it was quite the honor, indeed—Witherspoon is only the fifth woman
to be honored by the American Cinematheque, a feat that didn't go
unnoticed by her daughter. "Congrats! #specialnight," Ava captioned a
selfie she snapped of herself and mom at the ceremony.
