We all know just how bad water bottles are for the environment, they could even be called one of the WORST inventions of the last half a century. With some states looking to ban water bottles its estimated that 38 billion bottles are sitting in landfills and not being recycled, like they should be.
One company saw this huge environmental issue as a challenge to come up with something even better. That is where Ooho! comes in.

Its an edible, biodegradable water bottle made of seaweed and calcium chloride, and even better, it looks like a clear little rubber water balloon! All a thirsty person has to do it pierce the membrane (your teeth do just fine) and gulp it down!

The product’s designers said, “The most clear inspiration is the way nature encapsulate liquids using membranes. Made of lipids and proteins, the membrane enclose, limit and give a shape, keeping the balance between the interior and the exterior.”
