Car Crashes Into Building Apartment

A car crashed into a Brooksville apartment where a woman was watching her grandchildren, according to the Hernando County Fire Rescue.
It happened after 1:20 p.m. Saturday at the apartment complex located at 7120 Barclay Ave.

A woman was in the apartment with her grandchildren when a car crashed into the front door, according to HCFR. Nobody in the apartment was hurt. She called 911 and when the firefighters arrived, they saw a red sedan smashed at the front door.

Witnesses said the the driver appeared to have a medical problem just before the accident. The driver was taken to a hospital. The management of the complex will be relocating the residents of the affected units.
Florida Highway Patrol officers have taken over the crash investigation.
